After the turbocharger failed we finally made the decision to sell the car. I should have pushed further the first time I took it in and asked about the pinging in the engine years ago…. I am totally in for any class action lawsuits. I even called the dealership and was put on hold for an hour before someone just hung up on me. Turns out, the thermostat was bad. They also did all the oil changes for the first 20k.
I can go on and on. After a few attempts, there is no compression in my engine. The car does have over 200k on it but not put on by me. Even if it was 120,000 miles, but 67,000 miles?! This is a serious mechanical issue that should have been a recall not a 5k mile warranty extension. This is the second time the turbo has gone out in 11 months. Waiting for road size service right now. Still goes through oil constantly, makes odd noises when accelerating.
Turbocharger just went out at 81,000+ miles. Service managers face was priceless when I drove it into the garage. Keep these invoices in a safe place, along with oil change and service receipts. I wish the best luch for all of you guys. I googled Mazda Cx7 and I came across this page. That was the last time I took it to a dealer.
The Mazda dealer misused my extended warranty replacing and or repairing everything but engine, and that I need a engine theirs not enough money on the extended warranty to cover a new, used, or rebuilt engine. During the test drive the car did have any signs of an issue. Since that I realized the engine was nat manufactured well and should be recalled. Drove the vehicle this way for about 2 miles until I got home. If anyone has any advice id appreciate it. Promise to never purchase another Mazda ever again.
Got it back and the next day the check engine was back on. There for mazda tryed to give me the run around again thelling me its my fault that the throttle body was dirty and how the system works. At least their vehicles do not suffer from major engine failure. I had been told from the workers at Brown and Wood that it was because I get my oil change from Walmart!!!! This issue with the turbo needs to be a recall on the 2007!! However the odometer indicate 60800 or so miles. Is their a class action lawsuit on these 2008 Mazda cx7 vehicles? I had to replace the turbo a month after purchasing it around 90000 mile.
Lesson learned, my first and last Mazda. I turned it back on and got safely off the expressway and somehow made it to my job, byTurning it off and on. They were shocked that my claim was denied by my extended warranty and by mazda! Unfortunately, after 10 k miles the engine started vibrating and the Mazda dealer said the timing belt was stretched and replaced it. Mazda has to do something about this this is unexceptable. So there is sits in my driveway. Brought my 2009 cx-7 in to the dealership 3 separate times due to smoke from the exaust.
There is no way on gods green earth that I will ever buy another mazda or ford since ford owns mazda. How do they have so many loop holes and we are all screwed?! Mazda knew of this prior to selling it — but failed to inform me. So I turn around, ready to bring it back in and kindly request that they check my car out first thing in the morning. He says my timing chain slipped so he bought a new one from Mazda, which he said is very flimsy and not worth the money. Regardless of all the comment I personally love this car but why should I be responsible for this problem Mazda own up to your cover up and please come up for a better designed turbo fire the company that designed this poor functional turbo. I do not have the money to get it fixed.
Not to crazy about having a rebuilt but i figured it cant be any worse than the original one. Repair for the timing chain 1450 cheapest oil cooler 600 I was thinking bout getting it fix but as I c it too many ppl having the same problem and I got want to b stuck with 3,000 or more for repairs. My motor went out, and now I have no car… I Well guys Mazda has apparently claimed to identified the turbo oil leak and failure problem. I was the registered driver and got the title mailed to me after my last payment from Carmax. What is our government doing to protect us from Mazda and other crooked foreign companies that are taking advantage of the Americn People? Around 4-6k miles later the turbo went out.
It only has 69K miles on it. Others are reporting oil consumption problems and severe engine noise. Oil leaks, told roughly 1200 to fix as the entire engine needs to be lifted. I got all oil changes, however never kept receipts. Knowing that this car was a ticking time bomb, I made arrangements for someone to follow me to Greenville and give me a ride home before the Carmax 1 week offer expired.
