My 1994 4 wd ranger sat outside. . I have vacume to the Hub's. I have the same truck and put Warn 38826 hubs on. There is a control unit under the hood on the fire wall, from there it sends vacuum signals by hoses out to the hubs. Mine comes off without removing the dampner also, so four bolts and the plug basically. If contamination occurs, 4x4 could be lost.
