Then he became meaner and meaner and meaner then abusive and cruel, and he wouldn't allow a guest to have a chance to shape the discussion. Bosco has no shame and no life. I remember listening to a recent podcast when Artie was ragging on Bosco for trying to contact Bochetti to see if he could get Mario on the Opie show. His first memoir, Too Fat To Fish was also written during this time and became a New York Times bestseller. I've listened to a few and it's a decent show when he has a guest he respects. If you're gonna defend one person with that excuse then you can't be mad at someone else for the same reason. Dan is upset about the Bears.
So many people were critical of the regular guests the first year; Geno, Matarese, Prussman etc I don't think we knew when we had it good. The first 6 months or so was really good. Who the fuck said that? Bocchetti sounds healthier than him at this point. And that list shrunk weekly. Maybe I wouldn't be bothered by the nose issue as much if I didn't listen with headphones? I don't know how much longer Artie is going to do the podcasts.
Our buddy Craig Gass joins us in one of the best podcasts of our show. Them sitting around listening to phony phone calls laughing, but they don't play the phone calls? He just sounds terrible and I think I would have a hard time listening even if he was at his best comedically. I come here to see what's been happening, and I have not missed anything. Artie's targets are Dan, Mario, and Bocchetti. I checked in this week to maybe reconsider and it looks like nothing has changed. I respect your honesty and forth-rightness. He tells Artie about some missed opportunities.
There are still some laughs on the podcast, but it's become very repetitive. Those who can aren't invited back, or don't want to return. Artie began his career in the comedy clubs of New York City, where he helped to create the popular sketch comedy group Live on Tape, after writing and performing with other troupes, including Midnight Madness and The Improvables. Artie's site has already removed that first free episode, and I didn't grab it in time. Would it be impossible for Dan and Artie to sit and talk about topics like adults, and find humor in those topics? No discussion of torrents, file sharing sites, etc 2. This guy is fucking horrible and made this podcast unlistenable.
He thanks the celebrities that come out for the cops. He had conversations with his guests and the show breathed on its own. I checked back here to see a lack of recaps for each episode as it looks as if more than a few subscribers jumped along with you last few months. Artie talks with Joey about the benefit. Some people have been asking what happened to me. A month or two ago I cancelled my subscription. In 2001 Artie returned to his home state of New Jersey where he became a beloved regular on The Howard Stern Show for many years.
Kinda lame, sorry that didn't work out guys. But he also needs the semi-idiots like Bosco and Borchetti to put down and subjugate in order for Artie to feel in control. This new effort sounds great. Same group of guests, same topics. It was fun while it lasted.
Maybe if the show was free I'd give it another try, but even then it's still not anything new. We discuss anything related to Howard Stern. . I keep my subscription though. I forgot about Art blowing off our questions. You did a great service recapping a poorly strung together podcast.
After his departure from The Howard Stern Show, Artie continued in radio both with The Artie Lange Show and later on The Anthony Cumia Show all the while continuing to tour as a stand-up comedian. Especially when Howard isn't on vacation. Artie probably won't be around much longer. The Dan only shows are horrible. Craig tells us a very funny Christopher Walken story.
I can't even get past his nose. I mean they're still working in a legit studio, and he's doing a show from someone's kitchen. I wasn't enjoying the show and it just seemed like a chore to listen to it. Artie still drones on forever in some stupid fucking character that poor Dan has to fake laugh through for 20 minutes. I'll still pop in here to check for Artie news, but I'm done with the podcast. Is Artie in Trumps inner circle? Take care, brush your hair.
The repeat jokes, small group of mediocre guests on rotation, and constant political talk right wing or left wing, I was tired of it all , and sporadic schedule ruined the show for me. Could be, I'm listening at work with one headphone so I guess the calls could be playing on the other channel. And as a younger person, I want him to keep producing episodes so that I have a cache of content that I haven't listened to when he's retired. They challenge Artie and Artie wants to impress men like them. Artie cuts him off all the time, but Artie is the only person who give Bosco air time. It's the funniest thing out there, bar none and by far.
