When she happens into a Tea Cosy she is wisked into the lives of the Whitcombe's and finding everyone so lovely and nice to a complete stranger. The story that unfolds is pure delight.

Overall, I would recommend it as pleasant Christmas fare, cute in many ways, enjoyable to watch. After watching the movie on Hallmark many times, I finally decided to give the book a try. It just goes to show you that even if a book is a bit dry to you at the begining that if you put it down you could miss out on a really good book and I am glad I didn't put this book down.

After reading this one and the second one I can safely say both are completely devoid of any details on the main character's relationships with anyone except for her mother who is demonized throughout both books for having a child with a married man. Thanks so much for mentioning and describing this book! This is the third in a series of delightful Father Christmas movies. I was so glad she had been given the role of Miranda. Miranda wants to separate the fact from the fiction. The movie does attempt to intimate certain of these moments — that little Julia for some reason a bit older in the film somehow takes to Miranda for no explainable reason, gives her a stocking etc. I loved how Miranda was in her discovery phase on so many levels in this book.
Filming for the first film took place in June 2016, with some scenes shot in the city of. It had such a magical, etheral otherworldly feel to it that took me by complete surprise. Each character had their own, distinct personality. Short for water closet, of course. This was a fast read and a cute story. They are all delightful and now I can't wait to find out what else will happen in the next book Engaging Father Christmas. I had trouble getting into the book in the first few chapters. Wendie Malick brought a wonderful depth to the role of Margaret. Or should she carry the truth home with her to San Francisco and remain alone in this world? They live in the Santa Monica Mountains with four horses, a donkey, two dogs, and a 16-year-old.
While watching it again this year, I discovered in the credits this book was what the movie was based on! Armed with a playbill and an old Christmas photo, Miranda treats herself to a Christmas holiday in England. My Rating: As a Hallmark movie, similar to previous movie scripts and enjoyable enough, beautiful scenery, warm acting. They use terms that are only used in England and I have no idea what they are talking about! Christmas for Miranda is a painful reminder of the family she never had. I was hooked from chapter one with its slightly eerie beginning. A third film in the series was confirmed by director and actor Jim Thorburn in interviews given in November 2017.
