A major success at the European , Face to Face has received praise from critics and scholars of the Spaghetti Western genre for its story and acting, although some criticism has been leveled at the execution of Fletcher's. While staying in a hotel in Purgatory City, awaiting an train, Fletcher finds Bennet again, who has been hired by businessman Williams to dispatch Sam Taylor's gang; in exchange, Aaron Chase, a Raider, will be freed from prison. His performance is astonishing , above average to level of these films. Inspector Queen and New York's finest were hard at work on the case but even with Burke's and Ellery's help the progress is slow.
Worthwhile watching for a demonstration of the strange relationship between Tomas Milian and Gian Maria Volonte with some looks that say it all. Tomas Milian is his reluctant mentor, a screaming, filth covered bandit who for some reason has the haircut of Dave Hill of Slade.
