It was good especially since it came with a money voucher at not cost to me to see the film. It also includes Patrick Warburton Hymie and the receptionist dont know her name from the Get Smart movie. There is something a little extra about Nina, the coroner that Bruce has a crush on. Unless you're a movie studio looking to suck every last dollar out of your new Summer Blockbuster. This one is a stone cold dud to say the least. Her and Oka have a little chemistry, far more than Oka and Torrence certainly. Altogether, this item works on the level of an inferior National Lampoon video.
Now Bruce and Lloyd must go out on in the field, because all the other agents are exposed, and recover the blanket before anyone else does. The movie is really predictable. As soon as I opened the packaging part of the dvd case fell out. They have developed what they call 'Optical Camouflage Technology' or a cloak that makes the wearer invisible. It's not so much a problem for me since I worked at a video store and have spares, but others without dvd cases might be more turned off.
The movie is based around Bruce and Lloyd funnily enough since they are in the title who are the two tech guys from Get Smart who came up with all the spy tools. If applicable, we will notify you about this before processing your order. Masi Oka is funny, cute, charming, etc. Parents should watch it first and determine for themselves if it is appropriate for their little ones. I think maybe he might have been a little better had he had a better cast around him but still the film should never have focused on him. The film includes a cameo by as Agent 99 a scene that makes reference to events in the main film , as Agent 91, and a brief appearance by as.
Though the events of this movie seem to be playing at the same time of the events of the Carell movie, the events of this movie seemed pretty clear; you don't need to see the Carell movie to understand what's going on here. I really don't see what the negative complaints are all about! Not a masterwork of any kind, it still is good fun and perfect if you have one of those afternoons when you don't feel like doing anything and just need to be spoon-fed some entertainment. Get Smart needed Himey in it's story to be better and Bruce and Loyd can't even get off the tarmac Himey less. If I go down, you go down on me. I don't understand why peoples hate this movie. I would have rather had her in the entire film than the two of them. Directed by , the film is written by Tom J. So, when the strike was over, they didn't know where to put it. Comments: A rather silly and harmless and short comedy about two of the supporting characters from Get Smart. Now their latest invention, the Optical Camouflage Device — a blanket that makes you invisible has gotten some attention.
I thought it seemed a bit extreme in this kind of movie. This isn't really a movie at all. The dialogue is just blah. What more can we ask for? What more can we ask for? She actually brings the entire movie up a notch. But apparently someone thought different and wasted their time making this. An idea that might fly since the two main actors, Masi Oka and Nate Torrence would be good as a team.
Hymie although not there for long was hilarious. A subplot about a man abducted by a ruthless dictator of a fictional nation, the Republic of Maraguay, a small angry nation sandwiched between Paraguay and Uruguary, complicates the issue. Nate Torrence, who was so good in Studio 60 and Mr Sunshine is great as Bruce, and most of the big laughs come from him. The plot stands up just and works both as a stand alone film or when linked in with the main 'Get Smart' film. The idea of making this is not bad, it's just the execution of making it.
Don't expect that a movie cook the meal for you, or change your life, or take your child to the school. It wasn't a movie but you could call it a pilot for a possible series. It runs in the same time line as the Get Smart movie and has a cameo appearance by Anne Hathaway 99. Now, Bruce and Lloyd must find the cloak on their own because the only non-compromised agents, Agent 99 and Agent 86 Max Smart , are in Russia. The real smash-em, physical stunts, and overall Three Stooges type of comedy did succeed! And don't forget, we need sometime a easy one, not a Titanic which by the way didn't like it , just something to pass the time, or amusing about dumbness of other human being. But the opportunity to see this for free came up, and I decided to give it a try.
Torrence wouldn't mind steady work. This hare-brained 71 minute comedy with these two klutz-ups is sporadically funny, but never consistently hilarious. Some new release movies become unavailable for downloading for a limited time due to licensing restrictions. My extra credit goes to Jayma Mays that in some peculiar way manages to give her character some extra depth. But in the end I am sorry I watched it, because it tarnished my image of Bruce and Lloyd and diminished my esteem for the actors.
He plays Lloyd, Bruce's supposedly intellectual equal and partner but Lloyd comes across as an utter doofus and is simply there so they can make numerous fat jokes and have the ugly dude get the hot girl. And it's not even the kind of stupidity you can laugh at. In all, I do recommend this movie for people who want a good laugh. But don't rush the movie for just for the money give the fans something to enjoy. The only high point in the film was a brief cameo by 99 herself Anne Hathaway which directly tied into a scene in the actual film, a clever little easter egg for fans. I had also hoped after the disappointing briefness of Patrick Warburton's performance as Hymie in the film that he would play a bigger role in this.
