At the hotel, Jack learns that the phone lines, television and internet are down all over the city. Marek forces Robbins to fight one of his men for amusement and is impressed when Robbins kills his opponent in seconds.
He and other agents talked the former government into making deals with companies like Cardiff. After Robbins escapes, however, he stumbles across the Insider Village, which is led by a wise dictator named Father. After falling into the below, he is retrieved by another prisoner group called the 'Insiders'. No Escape was based on the novel The Penal Colony by Richard Herley. Before they can enact their plan, the group is attacked by rebels, who kill Kenny and wound Hammond.
Later that night Jack awakens and finds his wife in the bathroom crying. The Insiders have secretly built a scan-proof boat and launch it to tell the outside world about Absolom. As their children sleep, Annie and Jack tearfully tell each other that they have no regrets on their life together, preparing themselves for the fact that they could likely die the next morning. A prisoner named Robbins is taken to a futuristic colony run by a sadistic warden. The rebels enter the compound and start searching for them.
On February 6, 2015, it was announced that the film was retitled to No Escape, and its release was delayed to September 2, 2015. Robbins learns that the Insiders are heavily outnumbered over 6-to-1 by the Outsiders and that he is the only person to have ever escaped from Marek's camp. After he clashes with the warden in a scene which should logically end with his death , he's banished to a jungle island named Absolom, inhabited by two warring clans of prisoners: The Insiders, a civilized group who have organized themselves along the lines of medieval craft guilds, and Marek's Men, savage outlaws led by the embittered Marek. Here there are more of the amenities of civilization, including blacksmith shops, communal showers, and a small distillery. He stays behind to fire the stolen rocket launcher, igniting an , killing most of the Outsiders and triggering the satellites, causing the Warden to intervene. On the way, they manage to ride through a crowd of rebel demonstrators; one man notices they are foreigners, but says nothing, upon seeing the two young children riding with him.
Robbins thinks only of escape. Before Lucy can make a choice, Annie intervenes and hits the leader in the head, and bludgeons him to death with an oar while Jack grabs the man's gun and kills the remaining rebels. He stops by the bar and chats with Hammond. After helping repel an attack by the Outsiders, Father notes Robbins' abilities and asks him to join them. But never mind; This location is not where the rest of the movie is going to be set.
He offers him a position in his ; instead, Robbins knocks Marek into the pool, steals his , and flees the Outsider's camp. Marek attacks Robbins, but Father defends him, dying in the process. Jack attempts to steal a gun, and Annie comes out from hiding in order to draw attention away from Jack, while Lucy and Beeze hide. As Jack leaves their hiding place, he is spotted by a looting rebel whom Jack then kills, much to his, and Annie's, horror. They are spotted by a group of rebels, but keep paddling.
